Financial Information

As of June 30, 2007, the Foundation's assets totaled $2,112,527. Our investments are managed by four local institutions: The Dime Bank, Honesdale National Bank, Wayne Bank and Smith Barney, Citigroup, Inc. The total investment returns for the year were $283,773(15.5%). The Foundation grew in assets by 12.7% from the previous year.

The Foundation awarded grants totaling $179,271. Of these, sixteen grants were awarded to Wayne Co. Community Service Organizations. Eighteen grants were awarded through the Foundation's Innovative Teacher program and five Educational Improvement Tax Credit grants were awarded to local school districts.

The Wayne County Community Foundation's Scholarship Program awarded 20 scholarships to graduating seniors. These scholarships totaled $31,000.

We received $237,761 in donations for the year and our operating expenses were $45,385.
