The Michael J. Bryant Memorial Fund announces that nearly $11,000 in grants were awarded to Wayne County individuals, schools, and nonprofit community organizations this summer. Established in June 2008, the Memorial Fund has distributed more than $75,000 to local individuals and organizations. It continues to grow with contributions from family, friends, and the upcoming 11th annual Herd the Curd 5K race, to be held on Saturday, September 2 (learn more or register at calkinscreamery.com). Administered by the Wayne County Community Foundation, this is the eleventh consecutive year the Fund awarded community grants.

During his life, Mike overcame many obstacles caused by developmental disabilities, giving him a special sensitivity to people who had such needs. He also was devoted to his community, volunteering his time to the local fire company.

The Bryant family is pleased to announce the 2023 Michael J. Bryant Memorial Fund grant winners.
