At this year’s “Herd the Curd” 5/10K Race, which is sponsored by the Michael J. Bryant Memorial Fund Committee, six grants awards were made to deserving Wayne County organizations. A total of $9626 was given presented to the following organizations: Dyberry Day Camp; Fair Hill Farm Therapeutic Riding Academy; Wayne County Office of Behavioral Health; Damascus School; Wallenpaupack Area School District and Honesdale Lions Club. The purpose of the Michael J. Bryant Memorial Fund is to assist Wayne County Citizens, with special needs or developmental disabilities, acquire goods and or services desirable or necessary to maximize their potential. In association with the Wayne County Community Foundation, the fund began in 2008 and each year has awarded grants to deserving organizations and individuals. The Fund’s Committee wishes to express its appreciation to those friends and family who have made generous contributions to make these projects successful.
