The Wayne County Community Foundation opens applications for 2022’s Youth Advisory Committee mini-grants.

The mission of the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) of the Wayne County Community Foundation is to familiarize Wayne County youth with the concept of a Community Foundation and its work, through supplying educational and funding opportunities. Mini-grants of up to $1000 are available for qualifying projects or programs that will benefit elementary and secondary age students in Wayne County schools and/or community groups. This year, the Wayne County Community Foundation is awarding $6,000 in grants!

What can be funded?

Proposals for special classroom projects planned by students - extracurricular activities such as:

- Student newspapers
- Special sports
- Arts-related projects
- Other community related projects

Many different types of projects qualify, but please note, these grants are intended for student groups not individuals. Applications are due October 31, 2022.
