Q2 Grants Announced!

The Wayne County Community Foundation is pleased to announce its 2022 Q2 grant recipients! The following grants will be issued:

 

$1,000 to Friends of Honesdale Performing Arts, Inc. to help cover the costs of bringing in a broadway performer for their cabaret night. 

 

$2,500 to the Delaware Highlands Conservancy to support the redesign and updating of their website. 

 

$2,000 to the Greene-Dreher Scholarship Fund to purchase a laptop for their Recording Secretary. 

 

$2,500 to the United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties to support heating costs for 8 Wayne County families through their Gift of Warmth Program.

 

$2,300 to the Wayne County Historical Society to fund their upcoming "Wayne County on Display" exhibit.

 

$3,500 to the University of Scranton to sponsor a scholarship for The Cooperage Project's Executive Director to attend the Nonprofit Leadership Certificate program.

 

*$2,087.68 to the Forest City Regional School District to support additional funding for the purchase of three digital cameras and other photographic equipment for a new class. 

* $1,000 from the Forest City Mini Grant Fund and the balance from the Community Foundation's General Fund

 

*$1,400 to the Wayne County Livestock Judging Team to purchase uniforms and transportation to events 

*Funding made possible through the Pleasant Valley Grange Fund

 

And a $75,000 match made available to the Wayne County Arts Alliance to support the purchase of their gallery.
