WCCF Launches Annual Education Grants :: Wayne County Community Foundation

Education Improvement Once again, the Wayne County Community Foundation in cooperation with the PA Department of Economic and Community Development will award grants to area school districts. The funding comes by way of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program permitting local larger businesses to receive tax credits for their donations to “Highly Academic Achievement Programs” approved by the state, foundation and local school districts. Typically, these programs have supported acquisition such this as “state of the art” technology purchases; programs and hardware for robotics training; and advanced math and science and education. This year, there will be approximately $20,000 in distributions to Western Wayne, Wayne Highlands, and Wallenpaupack Area School Districts.
