Building Home Libraries Project

Building Home Library

We at The Wayne County Community Foundation believe reading is one of the most important skills one can have and a love of reading is a special gift - that’s why we’re asking that this Giving Tuesday, you consider making a donation to our Building Home Libraries Project.

Through Building Home Libraries, we provide every Wayne County public school student, grades Pre-K through 8 with a book of their very own to take home and keep.

Your donation of just $20 purchases enough books for five Wayne County students to help build up their own library.

Celebrate Giving Tuesday by giving the gift of reading! A good book can open our eyes and show us so much more of the world than what we can see in our day-to-day lives. Stories take us to new places, introduce us to new people, and give us just a little glimpse into someone else’s experience. That perspective can be life-changing to young readers.

While you make your end-of-year plans, we ask that you consider making a donation to the Building Home Libraries Project at the Wayne County Community Foundation.

A love of reading is a gift that lasts a lifetime.

Donate online at WayneFoundation.Org or by check to The Wayne County Community Foundation, 918 Church Street, Suite F, Honesdale, PA 18431 with “Home Libraries” in the memo.
