Foundation Helps Support "Thanksgiving Together:" The Wayne County Community Foundation awarded a grant to the "Thanksgiving Together" program at the Episcopal Church in Honesdale. The Church's efforts help provide a weekly Saturday, Free Community Luncheon for those in need in addition to a "full" Holiday dinner at Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.
Community Foundation Awards Grant to LACAWAC. The Yabon Foundation in association with the Wayne County Community Foundation recently award a $5000 grant to LACAWAC Sanctuary. The funds will be used for the development of a new Environmental Education Center that will increase LACAWAC's capacity to serve more students; provide environmental education programs year for local residents and visitors; and offer a venue where everyone can reconnect to nature and the world around us.
Foundation Gives to Farm Arts Collective. The Wayne County Community Foundation awarded a grant to the Farm Arts Collective ofDamascus. The funding will support this season of programs and for the infrastructure required to welcome the public to a working farm. The Farm Arts Collective mission is to nourish and build community through farming, at, food and ecology. Programs include farm-related workshops, agri-cultural public events,and performances.
Wayne County Community Awards Grant to Damascus Historical Society. Recently, the Wayne County Community Foundation awarded a grant to the Damascus Historical Society. The funds will be used for a building program and grounds improvement.

Wayne County Community Foundation Helps Fund Roots 'n Rhythm. Since 2005, the Roots 'n Rhythm Music and Arts Festival has successfully brought high quality main stage bands, local musicians, artists and artisans to Central Park in Honesdale. Once again, the Community Foundation is participating in funding this very popular event in the County.
Recently, the Cooperage Project received a grant from the Wayne Community Foundation. The grant will assist in supporting the "Kids Lunch Party" which operates during the summer months. This is a free lunch program offered five days a week for any children attending the Wayne Highlands School District. This will be the third year for the program which to date has served an average of 1200 children each summer.
The Wayne County Community Foundation awarded a grant to the Wayne County Historical Society. The Grant will support their build a canal boat pavilion at their D&H Canal Park at Lock 31.
